Program
The uniqueness of Timber Ridge lies not only in its location, facilities and amenities, but in its programming. Each program is specifically designed to be centered around encountering God, His Word and His place in your life, while being infused with fun, character building, skill building and relationship forming experiences. Campers and adult retreat attendees are not left to their own devices, but rather are provided with an immersive camp experience that leads them through a program specifically designed to meet the intent of their time at camp. From personal reflection time, to group activities, to activities designed to teach life skills, to multiple opportunities to come together in God’s Word, the Timber Ridge program leaves children, teens and adults alike both spiritually and physically full, satisfied, tired and refreshed.
Amenities
Nestled at the base of a towering mountain range, Timber Ridge sits on over 80 acres of beautiful West Virginia mountains, rivers and valleys rich with every outdoor activity you could imagine. From hiking, canoeing and kayaking to horseback riding and wakeboarding, it would be hard to find a camp better situated to experience the wonder of God’s creation.
Nature activities are only the beginning at Timber Ridge. For sport lovers, our camp features a fully functional 20,000 square foot gymnasium with basketball court; tennis courts; field hockey; sand pit volleyball courts; a professional gaga pit; a standard size football arena; a soccer field; an archery range; and a rifle range, all with trained and certified instructors to ensure the safety of our campers.
And if nature and sports don’t hold your interest, our Olympic sized swimming pool, a fully equipped craft shop with pottery and painting capabilities, our 9 hole mini golf course or our fully operational go kart track are only some of the unique activities available at Timber Ridge.
Accommodations
Our camp is blessed with amazing and modern facilities! No more trekking to a communal bathroom in the middle of the night or splitting shower shifts between boys and girls. Each Cabin is built with two 15-person wings complete with their own en suite bathrooms and showers.
For adult retreats, The Lodge is a chalet-style rustic hotel, set to overlook the lower campus and rolling horse pastures with the peaceful winding Cacapon River as the background. The Lodge features 18 individual bedroom suites with individual, attached bathrooms, joined in the center by a great room complete with double-sided fireplace and deep leather sectionals.
The Dining Hall boasts a fully functional restaurant grade kitchen where our chef and kitchen staff host world class menus featuring a modern twist on traditional camp food. For a peaceful start to your morning or a mid-afternoon pick me up, visit our Saw Mill Coffee Shop for any of the delicious coffee concoctions or pastries unique to Timber Ridge.
In keeping with any camp experience, visit the Trading Post for all your Timber Ridge swag, the personal items and toiletries you inevitably forgot to pack, or the concessions every camper is looking for, from candy and chips, to pretzels, hotdogs, ice cream, soda and nachos- all of the things that kids and teens would happily live on.
