At our camp, we teach campers the importance of respecting God's creation while fishing. Safety is always the top priority, and we emphasize the importance of using the right protective gear and following the rules of the river. We also teach campers the parts of the rod and reel, and how to properly use them. The Cacapon River is home to many species of fish, including bass, sunfish, catfish, and carp. We teach campers which lures to use on different types of fish, so they can maximize their chances of success. We encourage campers to go fishing on the Cacapon River, as they can enjoy a great outdoor experience and learn more about the sport.
